I'll be departing 29th november, 9.45pm! (In case anyone wants to send me off. :P)
I'll be reaching Hokkaido the next day, 9.35am, and straight away i'll be going to Lake Toya, and i heard that it's a lake that will not freeze even during winter. Next will be going to Mount Showa, also known as the hell valley, because of the sulphur. Also going to Jigokudani park to look at monkeys.
The 2nd day there i'll be going to Otaru Canal, it's quite famous, but i think it's prettier at night. I'll be going in the day though. Saw on xx's blog that she went to the Otaru canal too! Next up, going to Otaru music box museum, i think confirm kanna upsell there. Anyone wants a music box as a gift? ^^ Next destination is Mount Okurayama. If the snow's thick enough we can go skiing! SUPER EXITED ABOUT THIS AND I THINK IT'S THE MOST EXCITING EVENT THERE. SKIING!!! I hope i don't fall and turn into an avanlanche. -.- After skiing, going to the white chocolate factory. I was quite excited about it initially, but rachel says that they have stopped allowing people to enter the factory ever since SARS. -.- Then go for what? Waste time waste money. Next up, going to Odori park to look at a big clock, nothing much i think? After that is my favourite too! Susukino ramen alley! I really really love ramen alot alot. My brother already came up with a plan, to buy only 1 bowl (share between 5 of us) from every stall! ^^ But who knows, maybe we will buy more than one because there're also other flavours to choose from right? Eat full full can go shopping at Tanuki Koji shopping alley. I think it will be the one and only place for shopping because when i googled, it's stated that lots of students gather at that area. Students... Should be cheap right? Judging from this, the 2nd day seems to be the most fun-filled. ^^
3rd day, our first stop is Mitsui Outlet Sapporo Kita Hiroshima. Super long name for a shopping centre. Heard it's very new, and every ATAS. No hope for shopping. Next stop, Otokoyama sake museum! My brother's love love. I've never drank sake before but the museum is connected to the factory, and i think it should be good. Fresh from the factory! Gonna buy lots of them home! After that going for hot spring at Sounkyo! No idea where the hell is that but hot spring = shiok. ^^ The previous 2 times to taiwan i didn't have hot spring leh. Because just nice it's during my period. -.- Suay. This time it shouldn't clash. ^^
4th day there, going to this Sounkyo gorge. It's a mountain with a waterfall. Heard that it used to have many waterfalls, but due to the environmental destruction, there's only left with one. Like quite sad. At the Sounkyo gorge, there's Mount Daisetsuzan, Shooting star falls, and Silver river falls. So it will be like a "closer to the nature" day? After that going to see seals at Okhotsk sea ice museum. Seals are cute! And i heard the seals there are all handicapped seals which are unable to survive in the wild, and the owner of the museum take care of them and train them to perform. Like cool man. Why everything in Japan so care for the environment one. After watching seals, going to Monbestu, which is like a drift ice museum. Like some scientific stuff, must go and see before knowing what is it. And there's also a Drift ice festival, i hope it coincides with the days we go. (:
5th day, we're going to Lake Akan. It's famous for the algae which grows in a 3D circular shape called Marimo, unlike the normal algae which is 2D and only covers the surface of the lake. I also heard from rachel that from that lake, we are able to see the borders of Russia! Second stop is Ainu Kotan, which is some tribal village and i heard it's boring max. Gonna see their straw huts, and dance... *rolls eyes*
Going back on the 6th day in the evening. I suppose the morning and afternoon is free and easy? Flight will be stopping over at Tokyo, but i heard the Tokyo airport is 2 hours from the city. WTH means no shopping in Tokyo. ): Will reach Singapore in the morning the next day!
Initially i was a little sian about the trip because it's all mountains and museums. But now i'm quite excited! Especially because it's my first time to see snow! Can i build a snowman? :D I also heard that stuff in Japan is expensive. So if anyone wants me to buy anything there, pass me the money first! Lol. Can't wait.
